How may votes and comments can you get without using BOTs?

in #photography7 years ago

Let's see shall we? :)

It's going to be a regular photography post as I always do. Just wondering if content makes a difference here as it should, in theory at least. As since I joined I noticed that all top post with most votes and comments are all upvoted by voting bots, and not always their content justify their position. Of course that is not the 100% of cases but still..

I'm just wondering if making an effort delivering good content but not paying for the BOTs makes any sense here, what do you think?

I'm linking here one of my photos as post with photos tend to attract more people ;)

I truly hope that the content is what matters and wish there's an opportunity to succeed without paying for the likes.. maybe I'm just blue-eyed

I'm quite new here but already have a feeling that bots and vote for vote and shit like that already took over the space here. With 50 followers I get 2, max 3 comments per post which is pathetic really. And some of the top posts on steemit that have lots of upvotes, have just a handful of comments and it's obvious what that means...

There are a few things that Steemit could do UX-wise to cause people to explore a bit more, also, I think that because Steemit is primarily a blogging platform they should embrace it a bit more. Set the site up more like a great newspaper full of curated, beautiful prose, they need to take a stronger hand in showcasing better work in general, algorithms can't do that alone, especially when every vote is worth money. Things still feel a bit like an experiment here. A rad experiment though.. imo.

I can relate to that. Sometimes I wonder that does anybody even see my posts. As if they would be right away after publishing somewhere at the bottom of the feed where to no one ever scrolls.. If I'm lucky some follower who has the energy to follow "my feed" or happens to go to my profile sees it and then there's a slight chance to get an upvote or comment..

Hi there! I think it is not so easy to do without the bots but it is possible. You can check my latest post about norwegian travels: https://steemit.com/photofeed/@photovisions/travel-norway-6-muskox-from-dovre-national-park

I got the real good upvotes within 4 hours after posting.
So as You can see, it is posiible. I never got really good upvotes on single photo posts - maybe few SBD not more, but had some really good amount on bigger, longer and more original stuff. My personal best without bots was 230$ (after 7 days it went down to 130 unfortunatelly) but always great reward giving a lot of energy to keep doing the good stuff!
Just do what You like to do! Be yourself and dont give up. Bots are big help to gain speed on earnings but it is also possible without them.

awesome photo mate!

I'm also "new" here, but I noticed that also important is when somebody has "strong" friends. I'm "alone" here so I really need to work for every vote and comment, for now my idea is not to using any "fake voting" for my posts... maybe that's why I'll never get rich ;) as I don't care about that so much. Of course is nice to earn something, especially when you do what you like but I always had not really good PR ;) So I will just do what I like to do and will see what it brings to me :)

Good point! Doing what You like is most important. I am still experimenting with some bot upovites and resteem sites and what I can say - nothing gives You 100% income. Especially all the sites which doing resteem and upvotes - You will get really like 30-50 upvotes but with totally no value from them - all fake accounts or inactive users with minimum voting power. I have no idea on what these people waiting for... shit content or no content wont get any real votes or good support. I got biggest upvotes without trying any bots. So maybe it is better to focus my time and energy in creating another interesting posts than trying the bots. Good advice for everyone! Stay strong and good luck!

Awesome pic man!
