Above the clounds and under the Moon
I took these images during a hiking/camping to the top of Topatopa mountains in February of 2015 - we have set up our camp literally on the highest peak.
After a long and strenuous 16 mile hike - the path is called the Grinder (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/topatopa-bluff-trail) , that should give you an idea of the level of difficulty - the reward was worth it.
360 degree, breathtaking views of the surrounding area with unbelievable sunsets!

The magical sunset above the clouds and below the Moon - this was one of my most favorite experiences on this hiking trip and in life. This photo does not do it full justice:

@hanskarr310, what was the altitude at the peak of Topatopa?
Altitude is around 6700 feet, not extremely high, but the trail is very steep. So add about 60 - 80 lbs worth of gear that you have to carry and it becomes interesting :)

I think it was Jupiter - http://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/visible-planets-tonight-mars-jupiter-venus-saturn-mercury

Yes, it does, but it is more pronounced once you pass the 8ooo feet mark.
