As I looked at more images of the Polignano a Mare, the surrounding blue and the turquoise waters where the most impactful part of the pictures.......... 'Pearl of the Adriatic' is definitely a justifiable name.

The history of the surrounding area is also quite ancient (something that I always love about a place). The mix of cultures from the past has probably more influence than I can understand from the internet but that wouldn't stop me from reading more :-)
