According to The Liang Gie in his book "An Esthetical Outline (Philosophy of Beauty)", in English The beauty is translated "Beautiful", French "Beau", Italian and Spanish "Bello", the words come from Latin "Bellum", the root is "Bonum" which means goodness. Distinguish between beauty as an abstract quality and as a beautiful, beautiful object. The beauty in an abstract quality is beauty that can not be seen physically and irregularly, but the value of the beauty can be felt, like the example of beauty when feeling the wind that blows. While beauty as a beautiful certain thing is the opposite of beauty in an abstract quality, where beauty can be felt, seen or can be remembered for as long as we remember it.

In beauty there is an assessment called the Esthetic Value. Esthetic value is an assessment of everything that is covered in the sense of beauty. Esthetics are derived from the word Estetika which means one branch of philosophy and Aesthetics is the study of the beauty of a beautiful object. In his judgment, aesthetic value has 2 supporting elements, namely the extrinsic and intrinsic elements.
