Niagara Falls is a city located in Niagara County, southeastern Ontario, on the Niagara River, on the opposite side of Niagara Falls, New York. Due to the famous waterfalls, Niagara Falls is a famous tourist destination and an important source of electricity for the Ontario region. The city is connected to the American side through several bridges such as Rainbow, Whirlpool, and Queenston-Lewiston.

Originally called Elgin, the community joined the town of Clifton in 1856 and was known under this name until 1881 when the name was changed to Niagara Falls. It was cataloged in 1904 and in 1963 the city developed a lot after joining the town of Stamford. The blooming tourism industry allowed Niagara to continue its economic and cultural development.

The city's points of interest include Queen Victoria Park, adjacent to the cascade, where the Winter Light Festival, the Ludi Corridor History Museum, the place of a brutal confrontation between the British and British forces in 1814, and Marineland with the Gulf of Friendship Interaction with killer whales and Beluga whales.
