My beautiful winter palace [part 1]
Life on an island can be challenging at times when the island is home to only 5 people and situated in the middle of the southern Finnish archipelago. Especially during winter. Not only can it be a pretty dark place but when the ice appears you can't travel to mainland by boat and before the ice is thick enough you can't travel on it without risking your life. This doesn't mean that we are stuck on the island over winter like old times because of the modern vehicles and transport offered by the state. I'm gonna tell you more about logistics later but now...
Let's take a look at the beautiful side of this winter wonderland! :)
