My 1-Day Boot Camp Experience with the theme Commitment and Leadership Style

The USC Pathways (a student organization in University of San Carlos Cebu) conducted their Boot Camp Leadership Training for new student leaders last March 2018 with the theme: Commitment and Leadership Style.

Show Your Leadership Potential to Others

Leadership style is a way on how a person leads to others by using the power he or she has. The functionality of the members will depend on how the leader will handle the different kind of situations.

This is a photo of the participants while having their activities running from different stations. They always performed the activity as a team and everyone should be involved. This is to test how the team should help each other accomplishing the task and target a specific goal. Generally, this will aim to target the leadership styles of an individual.

Are You Committed Enough to Prove Yourself?

Being a student leader and as an individual, it is very nice to practice discipline within ourselves through commitment. Commitment is something that drives within you. It is saying that you will do something, then doing it. It is also about tenacity and persevering by not giving up and reach the goal.

In this photo, the student leaders are doing their activity in relation to commitment. There is also a part in the activity that tries to encourage strong relationships and trust. There is also a follow up questions that contained reflections and learnings from the activity. After that, they wrote into a banner their commitment letter that they should continuously improve as the level of difficulty in the activity goes higher.

One –day Experience is very Great and I did not Regret it

I thought in the very first place that if I force myself to join in this one-day activity, I would either learn nonsense things or waste my time that supposed to be dedicated in my personal agenda. But I was totally wrong. My one-day experience in the activity is a total package in my experiences. I learned the value of commitment, trust, leadership and style, and I learned the value good relationship among the members in our organization.

With that, this is the group photo that we have taken minutes before sunset. Apologies for the low quality due to light condition.

I love leadership camps. They are so much fun and they learn us to how to communicate and work with others. I think every student must experience a boot camp like this. Once we had a two days camp and I can't tell you how fun it was!

And I like tell you about a community I started here to help teen bloggers. Since you're a teen, you can take part of it. I've also made a contest. You can earn many things from participating in it. We're willing to give you a hand. Here is the link https://steemit.com/contest/@mashiliyanage/introducing-a-teen-community-in-steemit-let-s-make-steemit-a-better-place-for-young-ones-contest-inside
