River Boat Guide, Kurashiki, Japan
Kurashiki (倉敷) is a historic city located between Okayama and Hiroshima, respectively at 1 hour and 2 hours of train from them. It is most notably famous for the Bikan Historical Quarter. It is composed of old wooden buildings and townhouses still standing from the 17th Century when Kurashiki was at the crossroads of goods transportation by ships.
Its other cool attraction is the Boat Tour of the Canal. For a fee of ¥500 you will be able to admire the white walls of the buildings and the bridges from up close, some of which having old writings under them.
The picture here is of the boat driver, also guide, that gives information during the tour. He clearly was having fun even though it was a bit rainy!

Want to have your post on the map too?
Are you in Japan now? @jalayn
If only :-D No, I live in Quebec City, so only 14 hours flight away from Tokyo ;-)
But I have a few stories and hundreds of pictures of our two trips there and I am happy to have this platform to share them. Maybe inspire people to make a trip there. Also, definitely planning our third trip, @jrvacation's posts already added some checkpoints!
