2017 Outdoor Photographers of the Year!

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

The 2017 category winners have been announced for The Outdoor Photography Of The Year Competition.

I wanted to share with the STEEMIT community this year's finalist, I am pleased to have a chance to show off the kind of remarkable photographers who's images have made this year's cut.

In my previous post I touched base on the value of self motivation and the connection to photography whether one is a hobbyist or Pro photographer, the motivation to capture outstanding images remains the same underlying drive photographers who achieve distinction ultimately recognize.

The list of judges for the competition are all outstanding photographers who roughly have over a hundred years of experience collectively among the seven judges. Every judge has remarkable credentials as photographers each in their own right. Judge's like Fergus Kennedy who is a photographer and filmmaker, who originally worked as a marine biologist. Over the years judge Kennedy has been employed by customers such as BBC, ITV, Canon, Toyota, Nissan, National Geographic Arabia and the World Wild Fund for nature. Fergus along with the panel of judges for this years competition have a rich and extensive background in photography that lend a great experience to the judging panel that has been assembled for this competition. With 18000 entries from around the world, the 2017 Outdoor Photographer Of The Year contest has fierce competition. The finalists have had to distinctualize themselves among thousands of other entries. As you can see from the quality of the photos presented by the finalists, the effort to get out and capture images was well worth the photographer's time. Just to be considered a part of the list of finalists in this case is an honor.

Incredible mesmerizing scenes! I can't imagine how happy their photographers must be, looking at their masterpiece.

beautiful :o

Whoa -- the images of the Giraffe & the large fish are divine ...

As to "inspired", I'd really have to say the colors in the 'Snail' image are marvelous; it is intoxicating to view this level of Beauty in #Nature ! The way the LIGHT dances & glimmers in this Photo - well, it's energizing.

I Liked the image of the PUFFIN & also liked the "Light on the Land" (Faroe Islands).

Also really jazzed to see "AT THE WATERS EDGE" (#ESTONIA). I have a friend who is from Estonia .

I tend to like Unique imagery - yours qualifies.
