Testing Neewer Extension Tube Set for the Sony A6000, Macro Photography on the Cheap!
If you're a cheapskate like me and don't have the extra cash laying around for a Macro lens of decent quality What do you do? Are there cheaper ways to take macro shots? Heck yes there is! Extension Tubes.
I got myself a set of Neewer extension tubes for my Sony A6000 camera the other day for around $35 USD. I had to put the tubes to the old macro test, do they compare to a $400 macro lens? Are they a better deal? I'll leave that for you to decide. I know that so far I am happy with the results I'm seeing, let's face it I'm nowhere near pro level photography so they are working just fine for my work.
Build Quality
These tubes appear to be well constructed, they are aluminum, and the fit and finish are excellent.
They are auto focus compatible, and so far they are working as advertised. I Haven't been able to do a whole lot with this setup yet but I did get a few. Tell me what you think.
First Up: Nature
Got a few shots of some outside stuff, flowers bees etc. One thing with these tubes and any macro work, It's hard to keep steady.
Shooting With Some Props
I had some ball bearings and a ring so I tried out some other shots to test out the macro capabilities, turned out pretty good.
So there you have it, Macro photography for under $40 USD.
