The Lizard of Oz
I was able to capture a bright green lizard (he would fit in rather nicely in the Emerald City) hanging out on an abandoned septic tank today using a Canon 80D camera with a 75 - 300 mm lens on the macro setting.
You can often see brown lizards or black lizards/salamanders here because they stand out from the shrubbery. However, it's not often you can see, or even find a green one like this one because it blends in so well with the grass and trees. Here are some more shots of this little fella.
Definitely a cool find today. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow for some brighter shots.
One love,
Nice bright clear photos and a great title. Those guys move fast. How did you get close enough to focus and shoot before it moves? I have tried to get the lizards by my house - no luck.
Wow, what a photography! Great work bro.

She has a very beautiful green color your photos with the lens adjustment that you do look great
Wow, I am so impressed with your shots. They're so professional and brings out the nature of the lizard, it's color and behaviour. Also the face of it, it is kinda funny because itis like saying to you
"hey! You're so annoying, never found a lizard before?"
Or "I must look good on that esse"
or "I got to bounce outta here quickly, or else I'll get shots". Hahaha.
I have a trivia for lizards that would make us understand them more or to be amaze to them.
Some Lizards can self-amputate their tails. They wiggle and move on the ground to distract predators.
These Lizards can regrow their tails but the new tail is never quite as good as the original.
Not all lizards have legs. The glass lizard, which is found in southeastern North America has no legs, but unlike snakes, it has moveable eyelids.
Lizards can’t breathe and walk at the same time.
Again, I really like your shots. Kudos to you.
excellent photography, congratulations, you captured how beautiful we are and we do not realize it <3
Pretty fella.
