Rome wasn't built in a day!
My three hour tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica was the highlight of my trip to Rome and the Vatican City. We booked our three hour tour through a company called City Wonders and our tour guide was organized, professional, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend booking a tour, otherwise you will be standing in line for hours just to get in. With the tour we were able to skip the line and get right in.
St. Peter's Basilica was breathtakingly beautiful. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it in my entire life.
No vacation to Rome would be complete without visiting the Colosseum. We also took the three hour tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. It was full of facts and beautiful views of things I've only read about in history books.
