Bled Castle and Church / Bleder Burg und Kirche

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

On my latest motorcycle tour to Slovenia two weeks ago, I photographed the castle and the church on the island in Bled from a different perspective from a different perspective than usual.

Bei meiner letzten Motorradtour nach Slowenien vor zwei Wochen habe ich die Burg und die Kirche auf der Insel in Bled mal von anderer Stelle, aus einer anderen Perspektive als üblich fotografiert.

Bled Castle / Burg Bled

I photographed the castle Bled from the lake shore east of the castle. Here you can easily see the rock on which the castle was built.

Die Burg Bled habe ich vom Seeufer östlich gegenüber der Burg fotografiert. Hier kann man den Felsen, auf dem die Burg gebaut ist, gut erkennen.

Bled Church St. Mary / Marienkirche Bled

From the west, a bit further away and above the lake, I photographed the island "Blejski Otok" with the St. Mary's Church in Bled.

Aus westlicher Richtung, etwas entfernt und oberhalb des Sees habe ich dann die Insel "Blejski Otok" mit der Marienkirche von Bled fotografiert.

Congratz, your post has been resteemed and, who knows, will maybe appear in the next edition of the #dailyspotlights (Click on my face if you want to know more about me...)

Thank you very much for resteeming, dear @pixresteemer 😊

Stunning location and photos! It amazes me that they managed to build places like this as it must have been a huge undertaking just getting the building material there for starters, really amazing! Thanks for sharing.

The rock is only on this side, the other side of the castle is easier to access ;)
But nevertheless, you are completely right, it is amazing, what they were able to build.
I thank you for your nice comment Lizelle 😊

I wondered if there was easier access on the other side but still amazing not so!

I have posted a Google Earth link for JJ, where you can see it better, have a look with Google Chrome: https://earth.google.com/web/@46.36914874,14.10038739,522.70572053a,410.84510644d,35y,2.82917073h,55.66407237t,0r

Thank you @johannpiper, I had a look at that link, it's a beautiful area! Much appreciated!

You are welcome, Lizelle :)

Great shots. Always love the sights with a small island in a lake with a nice castle or church on it, and I always love the colours of the lakes up in the mountains.

Thank you very much @tijntje. I like this lake very much, but it is better to visit it in the winter, when there are not so much tourists there ;)

You are welcome. Oh the mountains in winter are also beautiful. Love it over there. But if wou want less tourist you maybe have to stop promoting the beauty of the landscapes over there @johannpiber.

Haha :) but I only promote to Steemians - I wouldn't mind, if all the people there were Steemians, who like my photos, because they would go out of my way and make place for me to photograph 😉

Haha but are they going out of the way to let you take the shot or keep standing in front of you because they also want to make that shot. Maybe 99 percent will go out of the way but again you have a few that keep blocking ;)

That's bad, I think, I won't post any photos from nice places anymore ... or I just don't tell, where these places are ... or I tell a completely wrong place :)))

I think it will be ok so you can keep posting these awesome shots here. lol telling that its a different location could be fun if people visit the coordinates ;)

... and blame me then, but I will tell them, that it was your idea :)))

In the old days, spies were looking for weaknesses in the fortresses, now, tourists and photographers do it)) You, my Dear friend @Johannpiber, have shown us these inaccessible buildings in such detail that, without a doubt, I would go to storm these fortresses)) From these pictures, breathtaking. These places are very impressive.
Good night to you my friend!

Good morning, my friend,

the night was good, but too short ;)

In former times the people knew where to built their homes, and the rich people built their castles on hills and rocks to have an overview and be safer, and that the people had to look up to them. To me, this castle and the church belong to the most beautiful situated buildings I know.

I thank you very much, and wish you a great day, my friend @barski :)

Nice neighborhood! And that's an understatement ; )

It would be, if there were not so many tourists around, but I guess I'm a tourist too 😊

Haha! I'm a tourist in my own city.

Where i live is so ugly in comparison you would run screaming :)

There are amazing things in California if you have a way to get to them. Unfortunately i don't now

Oh, I could show you such places here too, the ugly ones as well as the amazing ones, believe me :)
I thought, your photos are from where you live, or at least near your home? These don't look ugly, not at all :)

So often I see beautiful photos here from Austria or even from somewhere in Carinthia, of which I have to think, where the might have been photographed. Mainly these are photos are taken at places I would not go to, because I don't like places full of people, or which I could not find without help. I search for my own places, where I am quite alone, and where I can take my time, or I go to these spots, when nobody's there... ;)

wow amazing photograph of Bled Castle and Church. you are so good with photography.. i like your photography..

Thank you so much my friend. Reading nice comments makes so much fun and helps a lot :)

Love to visit there. Have you been inside the castle?

The whole area there is beautiful and worth a visit at any time.

No, I have never been inside the castle, but we have thought of a family trip to the lake some time this year, but this might be in Autumn, because in Summer there are the most tourists at the lake.

If you are not a "real" tourist, you will not be able to enjoy the lake in Summer, because of the millions of people from all around the world ;)

I live just off one of the tourist streets in Vancouver. I know the pain:):):)

I don't know, why tourists have to behave in a way they would never behave at home. I try to be as normal as at home, when I am on holidays ... at least what I think, what normal behaviour is like :)

Awesome shots of both the church and the castle , is it surrounded all around by those rock walls, why I ask is I am trying to imagine the effort and work it took to get all the supplies and workers up there to build that castle, no helicopters to ferry stuff in back then

Thank you so much JJ :)
The rocks are only on this side where the lake is, which you can see on the photos, but the castle is built on a hill, and can be accessed easier from the opposite side.
But even, if it was easier to get up this hill to build the castle, the work they have done in these times is amazing.
Today a few trucks would deliver the machine-made bricks and with a crane they would build the castle in short time, but would it still stand in 100 years? I don't think so LOL

Thanks for the link to google earth it was cool to see
The work ethos in those days is sure different from now
Things were build to last seems no one or no company wants thing to last long they want things wearing down and breaking so they can sell you the new improved version

This is, why our highways are always under construction somewhere. When they have finished repairing the road to its end, they start from the beginning ;)

And it is exactly the same here drive on any highway and repairs wil always be going on Somewhere, if they did a enter job the first time they would not need repair so often

I think, apart from a different language and landscape, people and companies are everywhere pretty much the same.

Yes I do believe your right, the differences really are so minor
