As a cemetery symbol, the sun represents eternal life, as well as the eternal light of heaven. When you think of it as a sunset, it symbolizes the end of our earthly life.  WHY IS IT SO BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH?

 In other words, when the sun rises or sets, sunlight has to pass through more air than in the daytime.
