Islands of the Giants (Islas de Gigantes)

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

There definitely is nothing the beach can't cure; especially if you're with amazing people and you get to enjoy it with great food!

Allow me to share some photos from our trip to Islas de Gigantes.

Enjoying the fact that we had the beach to ourselves.

This specific beach is of Antonia Island's - where we had a big tent set up for us to spend the night in.

The famous rock.

If there's one spot in Islas de Gigantes that is very well known for (at least in the Philippines), it's this one. This stunning rock formation is found on one end of Antonia Island still - where you get to see the island on a whole different perspective. You then get to feel how tiny and irrelevant we all actually are.

The sunset!

What trip to the beach is complete without seeing the sunset?

The Tangke Lagoon

Aside from the well known rock formations in Islas de Gigantes, the Tangke Lagoon is also quite popular. Even though the tide was low when we went there, we  surely still enjoyed it. Being surrounded by the stunningly tall rock walls was an experience all on its own.

Cliff jumping!

To get to this cliff, we had to do a good amount of spelunking tricks - duck-walking, crawling and squeezing into tight spaces. Sounds like a lot of work but it definitely was worth it! Especially once you hit the waters after jumping; it just was so refreshing.

Scallops all day everyday!

Carles will hook you up if you love fresh scallops! They are also very cheap - 1 Philippine Peso for one piece of scallop. That is about 2 US Dollars for 100 pieces of scallops! They also have other seafood choices but that would depend on what's in season.

That would be all for now.

I did get to go see the islands for the second time but I think I'll save that for a different post next time, and hopefully I can go back and see it again soon. Yes, the islands are that beautiful.

If you're planning to see Islas de Gigantes, hit me up and I'll help you with your itinerary or in any other way I could!

As always, radiate love and positivity!
