Well, what can I say?! I love ramen! I enjoy trying different kinds of Japanese noodles every time I get to visit the Asian mart, I promise I feel like I am a tourist because everything is different, hardly anyone speaks English and I just explore every aisle haha. FUN!

Back in the day however, my ramen experience was pretty simple and plain, I hardly put anything in the bowl except for the noodles themselves and perhaps a bunch of parsley, these days I add just about everything I want into it!

Anyways, without further ado, I would like to share this recipe if you please, even though it is just a list of stuff I filled my bowl with, let's call it:

Things:

  • 1 pack ramen;
  • 5 shiitake mushrooms;
  • 2 garlic cloves (sliced);
  • a handful of spinach;
  • 3-4 baby carrots (sliced);
  • 1 soft or hard boiled egg;
  • asian cilantro;
  • 1 table spoon chili paste (optional).

All you need to do to assemble this bowl of yum yums is just fry the mushrooms at a medium heat until they're cooked, add some garlic for flavor and let it cook for a minute or two with the mushrooms. After that is done, put all of the things into your bowl and enjoy!
Chili paste is optional as I have mentioned earlier, add it if you're into spicy food, I love it, so usually I would add some of it or sriracha sauce to about anything I eat haha.

And of yeah, there will be more ramen in the coming days, so get excited :D

I would love to eat that shit right now. Me and your old man grew up eating ramen everyday but without all the good stuff.

Thanks!
I used to not have anything in my ramen either, but now that I know how it can be done I'm putting all kinds of things into mine!

Yeah, like water or heat hahaha. Spit on the noodle block, sprinkle powder, eat.

I would stick my tounge in the pack then bite a chunk. Dont think we had water at the time or we just got use to it.

Loved the recipe I would definitely give a try to it......thanks for sharing

Very nice recipe dear @kotturinn ... I love Mushrooms too much but very little chance to eat it ... This way of making the mushroom is different and I wll try it on this wekkend.........The stuff your bowl is filled with, are looking soo good and delicious...

Thanks! Yeah it is super easy to make and you can add just about anything into it! Hope you like it!

Ramen=life

Ps whats the difference between asian cilantro and normal cilantro?

I feel like it is more fragrant, but it is my subjective opinion, for some reason it is slightly darker in color and the leaves look bigger compared to the kind I get from the regular grocery store. Other than that there's no difference haha

Thank you :)

:D

Okay, so not hunt-worthy if thats a real challenge. Its cool if you have easy access to 'different' herbs in the neighborhood, it can change your dish very fast in a totally different way

Totally, just use whatever is available in your area to make this, I am sure it's still going to be delicious!

Such an easy to follow recipe, Thank you! Not everyone has the skills of an Ivan Ramen, who as a westerner made a living with ramen, in Tokyo!

Thank you :)

I have never heard of that person before, gonna have to look it up!

I used to watch cooking shows on netflix :)

HA! Great minds think alike! Those shitakes look amazing - I wish I could convince hubby that mushrooms are, in fact, delicious.

Very true! My husband won't eat mushrooms either, what's wrong with them guys?! Hahaha

Friend what is the ramen? by the way that looks delicious the only thing is that it is difficult for me to eat with chopsticks haha

It's instant noodles haha

You don't have to eat it with chosticks haha I just do it sometimes, use a fork :D

Woow I thought he just called them noodles, every day we learn something new

Well, I guess it is considered ramen once it is served with various toppings, you can learn more through Wikipedia:
