Hunting with my old lens

I made a bet with a friend today that I can't take some good shots with my old lens which is the canon 18-55 mm F3.5 or so called the kit lens. And now I am on my way to hunt them down I will need you to decide is he right or wrong.
PS: I could be the new face for canon lenses haha
