Stunning views of a trip to Israel

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Earlier this year my family and me made a vacation trip to Israel, we booked a hiking group and had various stunning views, some of them I want to share with you.

At the first day we walked down to the 'Ein Eyov Waterfall', and had a really amazing view over the Sea of Galilee.

One of our days we hiked at the 'Mount Meron', the second highest mountain of Israel. We ran into many school and scout groups which had the same idea, like these guys, resting by an old olive tree. Also on top of the mountain we saw the 'Mount Hebron' in the far distance, the highest mountain of Israel, with its snow-white peak.

Here you can see the pretty town of 'Rosh Pina', where most of the people that live there are 'druze', a religious minority in Israel. Perhaps you can spot their flag, it's a really colorful one.

Just before we finished our long and exhausting hike through the 'Jericho Desert', we had great panorama.

The last days, we spend around Jerusalem, one of the most interesting cities I have ever been to. To me, on this picture it looks a bit like that the buildings and the nature melted together with time.

Our last tour was to a mountain near 'Eshet Lot' with an amazing view over the 'Dead Sea'. That was a nice reward for the backbreaking experience we had, getting up there, in the desert heat.

Looking back to this journey, I really have to say, Israel is a beautiful country. But for now I only showed you some of the beautiful landscapes we witnessed and Israel has much more to see and experience. If you ever get the chance to visit Israel you should not think twice but I'm confident, this short blog will get you a bit closer to this wonderful adventure. Perhaps we meet there, because I will definitely go back one day. This last photo is from when we where in the 'Jericho Desert' and it's special, because it is one of the only times I got the whole group on a photograph.

Thanks for taking your time, I will post again soon and am happy for every feedback :)
