Some of the many pleasures a steemit mission can bring! Part 1.

in #photography8 years ago

Thanks steemit for an excuse for a day off! En route to a monumental tree for a steemit mission and some bonding time with my teenager we had the pleasure of some time out in this amazing ancient forest.

Doesn't she look thrilled with no phone reception....

Never mind the majestic forest.....

Which is a regular spot on my " I have to get away from people" list and after a wet, soggy winter the moss was growing like it would in a fairy tale forest.

And the creek water was crystal clear....

And the trees were magical.... and the little elves were hitting me, telling me to wake up! No, that was my daughter.....!

walking away from me as usual....

Stay tuned for part 2 where we get to see the actual tree!

Far far better way to spend the day

Saw you on Tuck's post and loved comment so followed over. I enjoy your blog and added to feed as it's what I am happy to see. Nice to run into you.

lol, I was so embarrassed after that! Didnt expect it to attract any comments! I just blurted it out! Thanks for checking out my page, thought Id go back and double check what I wrote now so not to humiliate myself further!! It is lovely to run into people you don't know in a forum that spans the world! I look forward to making many relationships on here. There are some amazing people and it has uplifted me alot. Thanks again. I do hope Tuck stays, the world needs a voice like that!

Yes, It is a wonderful way to spend any time. Connecting with nature. It gives me alot and only asks for my love and respect in return. Very precious.

Did you notice how the light on the ground in the first photograph looks like a birds neck and head you can even see the black eye and beek.
💋 @halo 💋😇

It actually does look like a bird! See, I'm not the only one who sees special things in the bush! Thanks for loving nature with me! Its a true secret to happiness... nature and appreciation!

Excellent, wish I could have came along...

You know it sounds corny, but you all did come along! Thats why the rainforest looked its best that day, it was showing off and wanted to share the beauty and it knew I was thinking of bringing some love to the steemit community while I was there!

Que lindo lugar que has visitado, aire puro y saludable, muy buenas fotos. gracias por compartir este material.

Grazie! La natura e' bella! x

Yes, I am very lucky to have so much beauty around me. I can tell you now, it is my life purpose and I appreciate every bit of beauty I find! It is dear to me. Thank you for your comment. And not just superficial beauty. Deep, true beauty.

It looks like a beautiful day out. I hope the teen enjoyed it once she got over the no reception trauma.

Hehe, I am her mum, she is used to trauma! She is actually amazing and resilient and I adore and respect her so much. She really wasn't that phased with the no phone reception ( maybe that was a year ago) I think posing for photos was worse (the current concern)! If anything I think I am slowly converting her to be a nature lover.... but ssshhhh, that's our secret! Thanks for appreciating our day. I love to share this kind of happiness!
