Ctenosaura acanthura - Canon Power SX420
It is a species of lizard of the family of iguanas (Iguanidae). Its range extends from northern Mexico in the center of the state of Tamaulipas, and includes the entire state of Veracruz, Oaxaca and Yucatan state.
Adult males measure up to 1.4 meters and females one meter are black having flake-like spines on the back and forming rings flake shaped spines on the tail, giving it the name in Spanish spiny iguana Gulf.
It's kind of daytime character which sunbathers are very quick and agile allowing you to quickly climb trees to escape predators. Their diet consists of leaves and fruit. In the state of Yucatan it is also known by the name of tolok.
