Animals crossing the road in Yellowstone National ParksteemCreated with Sketch.

If you've ever been to Yellowstone, you know that animals tend to cut across traffic and block vehicles. Below are some images of just that.

When you think it's chill to J-Walk

My dad and I were actually driving around aimlessly hoping to see a bear on our last day in Yellowstone. While many visitors come to Yellowstone hoping to see bears, they're actually relatively rare to spot compared to other animals within the park. As we were driving I looked to the left and saw a brown figure moving across a small hill on the side of the road, sure enough it was a grizzly. He crossed the road, causing every car within sight to pull over and get a closer look, and then wandered away into the yellow brush.

These mountain goats descended from a cliff off screen right. Instead of waiting for an opening, the mother decided to assert her pedestrian rights and began crossing the road.

If you think about it, this is a form of traffic that people will travel to be stuck in.

It's just so exciting when you spot a wild animal!
I had a bear encounter too in Yellowstone!
This is great :)

It really is! Especially if you encounter one before the horde of traffic arrives.

Great pics. Wonder if anyone stops their car and try to feed them?

I haven't heard about that necessarily but there was a couple about a year ago who grabbed a baby calf (they thought it looked cold) and brought it to the ranger station. The sad part is that the rangers were unable to reintroduce the calf back into the herd.

Thanks criptoworld! More to follow.
