Tamsanian Blenny
Image of a Tasmanian Blenny (Parablennius tasmanianus) taken at Narooma Wharf, NSW, Australia.
While only being around 50mm long these little fish are full of character & form complex social networks. It is quite humorous watching them interact & dispute territorial boundaries, which they do with some vigour.
They often inhabit small holes & cracks in the pylons of wharfs & piers or hide under rocks in shallow coastal areas.
Tasmanian Blennies diet consists mainly of algae & their distribution is in the cooler/temperate waters of South/Eastern Australia.
He looks so angry with those eyebrows 😂
ha ha...yep they have an attitude problem for sure, I've been bitten by one because my hand was to close to it's home.
