The interesting thing about the various breeds of golden orb weavers is that they build their web in their spot and never leave (unless the web is destroyed). I had an interesting chat about it with a specialist at the museum because they have live ones on display in the open and the stay put.

Argiope Argentata it is precisely my friend....they have been counted, we have 48 of them.. some tiny ones too...
It looks like a spider maybe a weaver but the body is throwing me off...

They look like golden orb spiders, or sometimes referred to as Golden Orb Weavers.
At least that’s what they’re known as in Australia.
we have orb weavers here too... they are huge, way bigger than these.. but these are a cousin not golden weavers..
