exporing the unexplored # 4 : Beauty Of Nrusinghanath [Part -1]
Hello my dear friends ,
In today's post I am going to tell you about a very beautiful place ie . 'Nrusinghanath Temple'
This temple is 32 kilometers far from the town (Padampur) where I am staying right now .
I usually go there with my friends as this is a very peaceful place .
Shri Nrusinghanath temple is one of the great and oldest temple in Odisha .
Its situated at the foot hills of Gandhamardham Hill near a small town Paikmal which is in Bargarh District . Its about 110 km far from Bargarh .
The foundation of this historic temple was laid by the king of Patnagarh , Shri Baijal Singh Dev in 1313 A.D.
Its height is 45 feet and its divided into two parts . The first part is the seat of lord Nrusinghanath , the 2nd one is the antechamber having 3 gates .
The history of this place is written in the book 'Nrusingha Charitra'. Around six hundred years ago a women Jamuna Kandhuni as referred in the book composed a kavya (poem) that signs the glory of Marjara keshari (Lord Vishnu) . There is an interesting story about this place which is the main reason of reputation of this place . I will tell you that story and share some other interesting facts about this place in its next part .
