Portraits of Sofia.

I took this series of three photos of my friend Sofia at an undisclosed high up location. I used expired film with a manual zoom. #film #photography

I love using expired film because of the colors. Sure some of the photos basically end up sucking ... I've had to throw away 4 rolls at once: But the pictures that turn out look like something thats only possible on a computer. Plus the grainy realism.

The orange color distortion creates a nice rule of thirds for this portrait of Sofia.

I love taking high up pictures of the city. Even with a manual zoom of a subject you still get a feeling of slight vertigo. I let in a good amount of light here so the background kinda blends together. It was a bright overcast day which means lots of diffused light. The subject is very crisp and really pops against the background.
