The Milky Way from the bottom of a Gorge

The night sky from the bottom of a gorge in the outback of Western Australia.

I climbed down into this gorge during the day, set up my camera and took a bunch of photos during the daylight, then waited for night to fall. Around 11:30pm the moon was low enough in the sky to illuminate the gorge without washing out the Milky Way, so I took more photos. This photo was captured with the Canon 8-15mm fisheye lens, it is a 45 second exposure at ISO3200 and f4 on the Canon 5Dmk3. It is a single exposure.

Sorry for the inundation of posts, I'm brand new to Steemit, so just loading my account with some of my photos, still working out my way around this place. I would love some recommendations on who to follow, particularly in the photography feed.

I will mostly be posting my own original photographic and video content from my travels around the world.

Hi, you have great pics 👍🏼 you can follow these accounts @photofeed, @photocircle to get connected to more awesome photographers. I have always seen the best photos featured by them. Your can join the discord channels to connect with many of them.
@lightcaptured, @jarvie, @worldcapture are few of them I have seen post great pictures and also host photography contests.

Also,
try using the tags photofeed, photocircle in the posts, it will give now visibility to your posts.

Welcome... I'll add you to my list of photographers kinda like the ol' Gplus days. haha

BTW since this is new I'll say that STEEM is the name of the blockchain and the currency and being an open public database (blockchain) it means there can be several interfaces. Steemit was the name of the first interface. I happen to be on the team working on steempeak.com ... the team that founded it were all photographers so it's much better for photography with tons of features that support it.

Welcome to the arena... we're prepping to launch a few huge things to support a big photography initiative and finally marketing to the photography community. But all the features need to be set first.
