What you see in the photo is a tramcar, which had been rebuilt as an illuminated theme car. It is called Fisherman's Friend Trawler Tram and had been created in 2001 from the frame of a 1937 Brush Railcoach. In the photo it is seen before its refurbishment in 2016. It is one of the few illuminated theme cars in Blackpool - a large seaside town and resort in the North West England. In 1879 Blackpool became the first municipality in the world to have electric street lighting, as large parts of its promenade were wired, and ever since that year an annual lights festival called Blackpool Illuminations with over one million bulbs is taking place, starting on the 18th of September and continuing for 66 days.
In 1885 one of the world's first electric tramways were built in Blackpool, which has resulted in town having an impressive collection of heritage trams that are still being operated. You can read more about them in this Wikipedia article.

The Fisherman's Friend Trawler Tram had been photographed by me during daytime, which doesn't show you the tram car in all its glory with lights switched on, but you can see photos of it during nighttime and read more about it here.

Camera that was used to capture the tramcar was an old Sony Ericsson mobile phone one from the noughties. F 2.8, ISO 100.

curious and appealing!

Thank you. I thought the same thing when I first saw it years and years ago. In fact, my first thought was that it's a small bar. I didn't know anything about the whole tram history in Blackpool.
