Tree Tuesday - Power
Raise your eyes and see...
So much of our lives takes place at our level. And by level I mean many different things.
-Our height. We're so used to seeing the world from a certain height that if we try on taller shoes, we can immediately tell the difference.
-Our level of understanding. We're so used to what we were taught or what's socially accepted that if some game-changing information is brought to our attention, we're shocked, perplexed and in denial.
-Our power level. Unfortunately, because of the way society is let up, sometimes the economic and power gap between people is incomprehensibly vast. Truly a heartbreaking fact, that people go through life thinking they will never be able to leave their mark on the world.
Truth is, we can all be powerful.

Real power stands the test of time.
Look for an old tree, look up at it. Think about how your grandfather or grandmother, or even great great grandfather or mother might have looked up at it as a kid. The ability to be known by generations, to always be the same..that's power.
And for comic book fans, the "power" immortal words of Captain America will hit home:
“Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right...When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world -- "No, YOU move.” - Captain America.
If you see injustice, if you know something is wrong, be powerful.
Don't sway like a flower...stand firm like a tree!
"Truth is, we can all be powerful. "
But, the problem is, how can we tell the difference, for ourselves, between real power that you are speaking of and the "delusions of grandeur" we may be harboring?
I seem to remember reading about that type of delusion somewhere not that long ago.
It is always good to connect with the power of a tree - very calming. And from calmness comes strength.
Trees are amazing!
so true!
Words of wisdom @mariannewest...
Nice perspective...pictorially and descriptively...thanx
I am greatly influenced by the way who have made the points here. We all have a tremendous amount of power, the only thing some of us lack is to unlock that power. Some even do not believe it.
"You got the power"...
For me,
Some days are tree days, and others are flower days...
But they're all good!
All good @coffeehub, but make sure you stay by the "river of truth"...;)
Something a bit different, a good story.
Oh boy...I'm blushing...;)
Level of understanding is a good point. We are habitual creatures and when something new is introduced it can often be quickly dismissed due to it being too far off from what is known/routine...
You thinking of conspiracy theories too @droucil???
Sure, conspiracy theories can be fun to look into ^^
