Karelian landscapes #2

In the Paanajarvi National Park, which is in the north-west of Karelia, our expedition team spent the whole day.
After a day spent on the territory with an employee of the National Park, and after dinner, me and another three members of the expedition wanted some peace and tranquility. Finding the nearest lake on the map, we went there and took half a liter of fresh juice from the Karelian birch for the mood.
And despite the fruitful in terms of photography day, we also grabbed the camera just in case.
By the time we had traveled the planned path of five kilometers, and reached the shore, the restrained warmth of the flowers of the evening landscape made us very happy.

After all, before sunset it was still somewhere half an hour, there was light cloudiness in the sky and we had every reason to hope for the magnificent spectacle of the "heavenly fire" with reflection in the ideal purity of the mirror of the forest lake. We were in anticipation of delight. But nature decided that evening to be restrained. Probably at the last moment before sunset, a cloud appeared in the sun and along with the gradually coming night frost, the cold of the evening colors also drew near.

Silence and peace came to us. Our original desire was fulfilled. We were so eager to find the tranquility, going on an evening hike, and not a stormy rapture, which we suddenly began to expect at some point.
