What feelings do you experience after you wake up from a faint: joy? Delight? Happiness? Or all this together, simultaneously and at once?
For our small group of freedivers, who chose to practice in the unusually warm and clean coastal waters of the island of Mauritius, the meeting with sperm whales was absolutely comparable to such a fantastic situation. After all, these whales are not only the largest predators on our planet, but also the absolute champions of the planet by diving into the depths at a breathing delay!

Describe all the emotions that overwhelmed each of us is simply impossible! And the sperm whales for some reason were unperturbable and engaged in their own affairs. Right next to us, a grown-up, huge whale swam, leading two children with him.

He was not up to us, most likely because he was just used to not noticing all the small things in the ocean. But two kids noticed us. Moreover, they are interested in us! Can you believe, but can not, but small kashalotiki asked permission from their parents, that would stay and be a little bit with us! Permission was obtained, after which the adult sperm whale swam away, leaving two five-meter "babies" under our supervision.

Of course, we were very happy with such kindness of our parents and fully used this opportunity for joint diving and photo sessions! The truth was that we did not have much time. About fifteen minutes later we all heard a severe call, after which obedient children immediately swam in his direction.

Nobody called us anywhere so we sailed to get acquainted with the whales further. I, as a photographer, inspired by the desire with which the young people just posed for me, of course thought that all sperm whales would be photographed. Swim under me, at a depth of about ten meters, the whale seemed to me a great object for shooting. And I, having typed in the lungs of air, dived. When the whale was only three meters away, he opened his mouth ...

I did not check what he's doing: just yawns or shows me that he is an adult and is not going to entertain me as some malyshnya! I surfaced and decided not to disturb the private space of the sperm whales anymore, without their consent. All the same, I'm a well-bred person!

Unfortunately, all good things ever come to an end. And meeting with a team of world champions is also not a thing to be eternal. Moreover, we are tired to dive, and the sperm whale has rested. It's time for the champion master class on freediving. Having collected air into the huge lungs, the sperm whales began their unthinkable plunge to a depth of three kilometers, where the most grandiose hunting-fight with giant, fifteen-meter squids will take place on our planet.
