Waste littering our streets, citizens can do something about it and time is now.

in #photography5 years ago

The issue of poor disposal of wastes especially in developing countries either by authorities through untreated open dumps or by citizens careless is on a constant rise. Most of this wastes generated is from domestic sources and contain higher percentage of biodegradable waste which can be sorted and used in the production of organic manure.
This can be done either by municipal authorities or by the households themselves and this will go along way to reduce great volumes of waste that constitute a nuisance on our streets since it is not always been collected on time.

On the other hand, plastic wastes can be taken care of but we need to live responsible environmental lifestyles and this should start now, else someday we will all get drawn in waste.

We should therefore learn to discard waste in proper ways, no contribution is small as the negative effects are enormous. This is lovely town, Bamenda, in Cameroon which use to be the cleanest town in the country.

In spite of insecurity challenges, we still need to keep our environment clean and safe.

Oh, this is so sad looking. Is this like, the town dump site? Or just, it became the town dump site because everyone left their trash there?

Yeah really it is, and yet money is instead concentrated on failed projects.

Wow, that is seriously out of control... How can people allow their land to get this bad?

For sure Sir but we can still do something about it. The ruling class in the developing countries is giving a fuck about it, and we young generation can.

It's a paradox. The places that have the most people with more than enough time on their hands to maintain their own environments have more evidence of public litter.

Enjoyed your post.
