A walk in Metsovo...
Metsovo is a small town that belongs to the county of Ioannina. It is a beautiful traditional settlement built between the mountains of the largest mountain range of Greece, Pindos, at an altitude of 1,150 meters. There are several places that can be admired, such as the monastery of Theotokos, the monastery of Agios Nikolaos, the monastery of Zoodochos, as well as the folklore Museum of the Tositsa Foundation and the Averof Art Gallery.
Metsovo is also a suitable destination for lovers of photography, as the magnificent winter landscape and its beautifully square will leave you speechless!
The sense of being in the arms of a group of snow-capped mountains is truly unique!
And once you have enjoyed the view, you can now take a tour of the famous traditional taverns of Metsovo, as we did, and buy and taste the delicious traditional cheese products and the unique traditional meat variety for which is famous!
At this point you should not forget to spend a little time visiting the shops that are full of traditional handmade products, ideal for a small souvenir of your stay!
The warmth of hospitality and the smile of local residents added another nice touch to our journey!
