30 Days Challenge - Photos of Valencia - Day 30 - Back to where we started: at the beach

It's quite funny to realise that the last photos of this challenge are from the same place where it started: the Patacona beach. It so happens that today we had a lovely lunch at our guardian angels friends here in Valencia, the ones who hosted us when we've just arrived in this new city.

I didn't take pics of the amazing food they prepared for us, but trust me, it was quite a feast.

And to top it all up they surprised us with our traditional Romanian drink țuică served in a traditional way, after it's been boiled with a bit of sugar and walnuts. For me, a tiny bit of it it's more than enough to make me chatty and giddy...I guess for everyone, that's why we serve it in tiny glasses, like the ones for Tequila and only at the beginning of the meal.

After the super delicious and fun lunch we all went out to the beach for a siesta, and simply laid down and chatted in the sun wile the kids were playing and running around.

At one moment when we got closer to the sea we saw this brave dude who was trying to get into the water although it's now very cold.

First attempt

He returned to his friends on the beach and we all thought he had given up. Minutes later he was making another attempt, this time he got into the water up to his waste, although I didn't catch the moment.

Second attempt

As the sun was almost setting the air got colder and we left the beach before I could see if the brave guy made it into the water or not. My guess is that he finally broke through the cold and dove in. I hope he's well and he didn't get hypothermia.

This is the last post of the 30 Days Challenge Photos of Valencia.

Although I sometimes fell off the wagon and missed a few days, I got back on track, even if that meant I published two posts in one day to make up for the lost previous one. In the end what matters is to keep going no matter how many times we fail or fall. We're only human, after all.
