The nijhum dweep

Nijhum Island is a small island of Bangladesh. It is located in Hatia upazila of Noakhali district. On April 8, 2001, the government of Bangladesh declared the whole island as a national park.

• Nirjhum Island's former name was Char-Osman. Bashman named Osman first settled with his buffalo bath and settled on the island of Nijhum. Then it was named after this name. Later, instrumentalist Amirul Islam Kalam named the name instead of Nijhum Island.
