Dumpster Diving - Behind the Scenes.
Was a cold and snowy night here in Gothenburg...
Lizzy is my loyal partner when diving, always ready to go! :)
Mission accomplished... ;)
Why do I Dumpster Dive?
- Bring awareness on how much food is wasted with our current system...
- Save the abundance of food that is wasted and share it...
- Minimizing costs enabling me to be less dependant on Fiat and can Power Up 100%...
- Great regular exercise and good karma... ;)
omg you guys are my heroes!!!
what a testament to the world! I am so glad you're putting this info out there on steemit as i'm sure you'll touch a ton of people and make them think differently about waste streams and searching in their local grocer's dumpster ;) hehe <3
lovely @reko
wow amazing I'm coming to help you for eat this food huh
...and I'll be there to help you. Who will help me? lol
Amazing post man, I used to do a lot of dumpster diving in places like McDonald's in my country, back when I was younger, never found that amount of food though.
Always hated the idea of people throwing away food, makes me sick really.
Edit: Lizzy looks super cute :)
Food not bombs!
Nice post.I respect you very much because you contribute to steemit.I will do activities like you.I would like to extend the steemit.
cool, make sure to drop me a link when u do;)
Hats off to you and your huge heart for sharing! Loved the video and yes, it's crazy that people don't realize that expiration dates are simply a marketing ploy.
Yeah we have really lost the trust on our senses which is definitely much more accurate way of deciding if the food is good then an arbitrary date...
Omg...I don't know about shrimp..or fish of any kind. I have to give it to you though. Steem on!
lol yeah the ones I found was in some preservatives so shouldn't be a problem, they aoften throw it earlier the the expiry date and it's very cold here in Sweden now...
That is amazing if you really found all that good food in a dumpster.
I used to go to the electronic shops like RadioShack to do that as a kid. It was fun to discover the stuff in there and try to bring it back to life. I think a food place would be kind of nasty sometimes.
yeh some places can ofc be but here in Sweden it's mostly pretty nice and the quality is super!
That is absolutely amazing!! Who knew you could find so much food thrown away outside of grocery stores?! I applaud you for doing a good deed. If Steemit had awards for giving back to the community I would surely nominate you! Thank you for this post 😊
lol yeah thank you @daqueend!
