High Park, Toronto, Sept. 19 2018
This was one day spent walking in High Park in Toronto's west end. Its quite an amazing place to have in the middle of the city. There's even a good-sized 'lake' called Grenadier Pond where people can fish for bass, pike and bluegills. My life here would be far less enjoyable without this place to escape to a few times a week...
I believe this is an edible type, if I remember right. Its called 'chicken of the woods' and apparently tastes like chicken..
Wild grapes! And they're actually quite tasty...
If bumblebees are endangered now, they're still quite common here...
Wood ducks in the evening calm..
Thanks for the visit. Hope you enjoyed the pics. These were taken with my phone but I'll have to get a proper camera sometime soon. Stay tuned...
Rick
