Hi again steemians, back again with another 24h trip for you!

This time to the capital of Hungary, the amazing city of Budapest. This is one of my favorite destinations in the world, and now during the summer season it is an absolutely awesome place to be. Always lots going on, people out and about and the prices are ridiculously cheap.

We have to opportunity to swap flights at work, and 3 days before this flight I received in my work email Inbox a swap request for this flight for the Bangkok flight I had. I adore Bangkok, and I do feel in need of a good massage, but as I say, in the summer Budapest is absolutely awesome and I quickly logged in to accept the request. 

On the flight over to Budapest a colleague told me he had seen that there was a big event going on in the center, the Red Bull Air Race and it was the day of the finals. It was being held across the Danube river, that cuts through the center of the city, separating what used to be Buda and Pest before it was unified.

Hola de nuevo a todos compañeros! Estoy de vuelta para relatar mi ultimo viaje de 24h con el trabajo!

Mi ultimo vuelo fue a la capital húngara, Budapest. Tiene que ser uno de mis destinos favoritos del mundo y especialmente ahora en verano. Es una cuidad con muchísima vida en la calle, baratísimo, siempre hay algún evento o algo en la cuidad y durante esta época los 26 graditos que hace da gusto estar fuera.

En mi aerolinea, tenemos la oportunidad de poder intercambiar vuelos con otros auxiliares si los dos estamos de acuerdo. Tres días antes de este día, me mandaron una petición para intercambiar el vuelo por un vuelo que yo tenia a Bangkok. Por mas que me guste Bangkok, e ir a por una buen masaje, Budapest me puede!

En el vuelo de Ida, me comento un compañero que había visto que justo coincidía que había un evento en la cuidad, el Red Bull Air Race. Se organizaba en el rio Danube, que es el rio que cruza por el el centro de la cuidad, separando lo que antiguamente era Buda y Pest, antes de que se unificara como una cuidad.

As you can see, its a beutiful place to hold an event like this. The views over the river are just amazing, there were a few scattered clouds but the weather was perfect to enjoy the show.

Como podeis ver, es un sitio precioso para poder disfrutar de un espectáculo así, aunque había algunas nubes, el tiempo estaba mas que agradable para pasar la tarde.

From my hotel room, I could only see the begining of the race where the planes would begin their run into the track by flying under the iconic Chain Bridge, but im not complaining! 

Desde la vista que tenia desde la habitación del hotel, se podia ver solamente donde comenzaba la carrera, donde los pilotos tenían que pasar por debajo del puente icónico Chain Bridge, pero yo no me quejo eh!

After the show, I spent the afternoon with some of my work colleagues walking around the city center (And getting pushed in to some shops by the girls) and then went out looking for something traditional for dinner. I had some traditional soup that comes in a bowl of bread, so you can eat the bread as well. I asked for the soup as a starter and by the time id finished it I was basically full up! For "main" course, some duck in orange and pineapple source. Sounds a strange combination but I trusted the waiter on that one and im glad I did. Accompanied by some Hungarian wine which was surprisingly good! Pic of the soup below!

 Después del show, pasamos la tarde paseando por el centro de la cuidad algunos compañeros y yo (las mujeres cuando podían aprovechaban el despiste y me metían en alguna tienda de ropa) y ya luego fuimos en búsqueda de algo de comer tradicional. Me pedi como entrante una sopa tradicional, pero cuando me llegó a la mesa vi que venia dentro de un bollo de pan, al terminar la sopa ya estaba prácticamente lleno y aun me quedaba el plato principal! Le hice caso al camarero que recomendó el pato con salsa de naranja y piña que aunque suene raro me alegro de haberle hecho caso. Y para acompañar un vino tinto húngaro, que sorprendentemente estaba muy bueno! Una foto de la sopa abajo!
