Practice Makes Perfect...

So my girlfriend got a new camera from a family friend. We don't quite know what it specifically is yet but I'll do my research soon - all we know is it's an Olympus.
I've been practicing my shots, as well as editing the photos, and was wondering if anyone had any tips or feedback.
