Perhiasan berupa leontin ini bermotif tradisional Aceh yang disebut Pinto Aceh (Pintu Aceh). Motif ini hanya salah satu dari ratusan motif perhiasan tradisional Aceh. Sekarang motif ini selain ada yang masih buatan tangan perajin emas, ada juga produksi massal, dan banyak dijual sebagai cindera mata yang banyak peminatnya.

Motif ini diciptakan tahun 1935 oleh Mahmud Ibrahim, perajin emas dari Blang Oi. Karena kepiawaiannya membuat perhiasan ia dipanggil orang dengan Utoh Mud. Utoh Mud memperoleh sertifikat resmi atas keterampilannya itu dari pemerintah Belanda di Kutaraja (Banda Aceh) pada tahun 1926. Saat itu ia hanya membuat satu jenis perhiasan dengan motif Pinto Aceh, yaitu bros. Kini sudah ada cincin, leontin dan tusuk sanggul dengan variasi motif Pinto Aceh ini.
This motif was created in 1935 by Mahmud Ibrahim, gold craftsman from Blang Oi. Because of his expertise in making jewelry he called people with Utoh Mud. Utoh Mud obtained an official certificate of his skills from the Dutch government in Kutaraja (Banda Aceh) in 1926. At that time he only made one type of jewelry with the pattern of Pinto Aceh, the brooch. Now there are rings, leontins and buns with variations of this Pinto Aceh pattern.>
Pinto Aceh berbentuk ramping dengan jeruji-jeruji yang dihiasi motif kembang ditambah lagi sebagai pelengkap dengan rumbai-rumbai sepanjang kedua sisi.
Pinto Aceh is slim with bars that are adorned with flower patterns plus more as a complement with tassels along both sides.>
Desain Pinto Aceh diperoleh dari monumen peninggalan Sultan Iskandarmuda bernama Pinto Khob . Monumen tersebut yang sekarang di sekitarnya dijadikan taman rekreasi, terletak di tepi sungai (krueng) Daroy, konon dulunya sebagai pintu belakang istana Keraton Aceh khusus untuk keluar masuknya permaisuri Sultan Iskandarmuda beserta dayang-dayangnya kalau sang permaisuri menuju ke tepian sungai untuk mandi. Sekarang ini taman tersebut diberi nama Tanian Putroe Phang (Taman Putri Pahang), nama sang permaisuri.
Pinto Aceh design is obtained from the monument of Sultan Iskandarmuda relic named Pinto Khob. The monument is now in the vicinity of the recreation park, located on the river (krueng) Daroy, supposedly used as the back door of the palace of the Special Palace of Aceh for the entry of the empress Sultan Iskandarmuda and his ladies if the empress headed to the river bank to bathe. Today the park is named Tanian Putroe Phang (Taman Putri Pahang), the name of the empress.>
Dari desain gerbang kecil Pintu Khob itulah diambil motif untuk perhiasan yang bernama Pinto Aceh ini.
