Today started with beautiful sunshine so I thought a walk to the river was in order. It’s a steep path down there and pretty slippery which is always a little nerve racking carrying my camera in my hands on a gorilla grip as I do but I made it down there without any slip ups thankfully.
The water was raging and cloudy with mud so I opted not to jump in - I prefer to jump into clear water so as to be able to avoid rocks as it isn’t that deep in places even when swollen as it was today.
The dogs walked in to cool off but only with care at the edges - they usually swim out happily and cross from one side to the other but not into this raging torrent today.
Even without jumping in to swim it was very beautiful to sit at the edge and listen to the water and the birds in the trees.

Cool to see something so lush and exotic! You must have had a LOT of rain. We have rainforests here (Western Washington state) but it's very cold, and all about moss-covered trees and heavy raincoats.

Loads of rain now during the rainy season every day so sunny intervals are rather treasured. 🌈🦋💛🌴🍀
So beautiful 😍 thick dense jungle with the water running through... it’s all alive! Rivers are the veins of the earth :) I love it when you can see the exposed rock behind all of the plant life, gives a lovely contrast and just showing the earth! What an incredible place to sit and listen:) I wish I could be there too! It’s so beneficial to just take in nature and what’s around us... im due a big nature fix real soon! ❤️🌅

Rains are really intense at this time of year. Luckily we don’t get floods though as you do.. the rain seems to know where to go here.Hope you and your animals are safe and wellhad power outages here so missed catching up in your last post but will get there soon.🌈🦋🌴💛🍀
