Cheongsam Portraits
Today I feel like taking about cheongsam (長衫), also known as qipao (旗袍) photography. From online dictionary search, it is translated to “a body-hugging one-piece Chinese dress for women” or “a straight, close-fitting silk dress with a high neck and slit skirt, worn by Chinese women”. Although modern cheongsam has different designs, full length, tea length or short length which is just above the knee, they will most likely retain the unique knot buttons.

In Malaysia, we normally see women wearing these traditional dresses during the festive seasons, not that it is the festive season now but I do shoot a lot of portrait photography in cheongsam and like to share my passion with Steemit community.

Very pretty photos, dresses, and girls. I think that the short style seems very different from the long dresses. Do the mature women agree with that? It seems that the young girls would prefer them.
