Photography or a single image I feel often captures those treasured moments in ones life, there is nothing quite like looking back and reflecting good or bad. But I also find that just like the act of writing our collective pictures can also be a art-form. The beauty and meaning of a photo can be expressed and shared in many ways including not even using a single word but instead just seeing what it makes you feel.

While I do enjoy photography I used to share those "everyday" type images that captures just those typical day to day activities, the feedback was mostly positive and so I continued sharing these "Ulog type" photos on Steemit.

Almost every picture as a story to tell right? Or at least that is what I was often been told by some of my followers when I first started sharing photos on here, and I would have to agree with them.

Last night I went to sleep nicely under the usual late hour, this was because of being up since the very early hours of the morning for another shift. As for falling asleep this took just a little longer than usual, likely down to feeling so over-tired and for some reason my mind was busy. I really don't like those very early morning shifts as they do mess with your system and can often take me a day or two for adjustment. When I did fall asleep I woke-up 10 minutes or so to my scheduled alarm, I don't know why, but it doesn't bother me at all as it was enough sleep for the night. I tried going back to sleep with little luck, I expected this morning for it to be troublesome to get out of bed but I was glad it wasn't. I woke-up to the alarm which was set for later than usual, I rested past it for a little longer. This was not a problem as for today I didn't have work to be in for but I did have plans to meet with friends later. I also wanted to get some basic chores done before going as yesterday not much got done because I decided to take things easy after the dreaded early shift. Infact for 2 days now not much as been done due to these shifts. As for the weather this morning it's been slightly better compared to most days where it's been mostly all cloudy, miserable looking with even some rain. However this morning initially it looked to be full of sunshine but it quickly got cloudy with very little sun, well perhaps later it will clear-up. With such a decent start to the day I also wanted to get some more Steem or at least start building a plan for it after my last trade. Seems some sellers have finally returned from holiday and are going to be selling at a better price than usual so this is definitely is a good start. Due to the trades and the wacky shifts how they were affecting me I sent a message to friends saying that I could possibly meet later today which they agreed to after sorting out some issue with my phone. As the sent messages were not being received by my friends according to my phone. Still the trades went well and I was able to even get some exercise in before going to see friends. With that I just about managed to get done some of the basic things I needed, I didn't get half of what I wanted done. Before leaving I had a breakfast, put my bag together and changed to leave. I was sure of what to wear this time but still prepared in-case later it would turn cold. On the way like last time I expected to get hot but it was mostly fine, yes it seems to sun did start to show it's face more as I made my way to friends. Once with friends it was really nice to catch-up with them, we had some good chats, some of my favourite conversations were about family, pets, work and politics. However I was a little annoyed with the late leave on the way home it was mostly quiet out and already darker than I was expecting. On Steemit.com I'm glad to still see it working as it should, work on updating the look of the Steemit.com interface continues on for something more "modern" I was very worried about this but the changes aren't anything drastic and Alpha testing can be trialled. Today's Picture

As for the picture today I share some flower photography, a quick disclaimer I understand that this type of photography on Steemit has a bit of a bad reputation. This is because it was often used by spammers to make like 8 posts each day.
Hopefully as you can see from my blog I'm nowhere near making 8 or more posts per day on the subject of flowers.

I believe this was captured on the way to work near the super market as the weather was getting better, the main focus here is to the left what I believe is a old Red Ballerina Heesterrozen which as likely seen better days. I know this is in black and white but while it's called the Red Ballerina Heesterrozen I honestly feel it's more pink in colour, but to be honest when I have seen the ones they call the Pink Ballerina it makes more sense to me as to why these are categorised as the red ones.

Regardless I love the colour contrast of these flowers, since this one is likely a older Ballerina Heesterrozen it's a little more difficult to notice. So far we have had middle aged Ballerina Heesterrozens and old, I think we did capture one still growing it's last petal but I don't think I have seen any baby buds yet.
I also like the different leaves here, especially in black and white we can really see well now their many characteristics. The old Ballerina Heesterrozen is hugged by all these detailed different leaf's around it, there is just so much detail in this image that so far it's one of my most favourite shared black and white images I have so far. We got the razor leaf which as often appeared in these photos but I also like these thicker leaves which offer much character. I'm sure those thicker ones are a tasty snack for the snails in the area.

Unfortunately since we already know this is the Red Ballerina Heesterrozen there will be no upvote for guessing it's name. However there is also the plant with the grey like buds which we have now encountered here many times. They can just about be seen on this image to the bottom left so I don't expect any guesses, they are also seen in the two images below, does anybody know what they are? If you recognise the flower and know it's name let me know in the comments section below and possibly win 🏆 a upvote from me.
