I don't think any living thing that has ever landed on this planet is free. Everyone has to do something - whether conditioned by nature or by some invented rules. Especially the birds you show, they are not free either. Freedom for me is to have many things at your disposal - from the basic ones needed for survival to others, a little more than that, even having an abundance. Not to survive. Survival does not equal freedom. And these birds, as far as I have observed them, fight to survive, they do not have abundant food, for example, to be free. Same with pigeons, that symbol of peace and freedom lol the poor animals barely survive in urban settings.
Well, your questions distract me from the main point, making me philosophize, but your photos are wonderful - unique and symbolic, saying so much.. Freedom and prison, two in one is this post, I think.
