Huangshan (Yellow mountains) in China

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

China is always some kind of mysterious and incredible place for me. It's the country where you can see the impossible combination of ancient and modern China. One and the same place can demonstrate old and new temple, old and new building, old and new tradition.

China is the place where you can fina a great number of amazing places and to feel the historical atmosphere of this or the previous epoches. Now I'm going to tell you about Huangshan. Unfortunately, I've never been in this place, but, my friend sent me his photos from there and that was the inspiration for me to write this post.

Huangshan is a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern China.

This area is famous for its granite rocks covered with pine trees, sung by Chinese artists and poets since the time of the Qing dynasty.

There are 3 highest peaks: Lotus Peak (1,864 m), Bright Summit Peak (1,840 m) and Celestial Peak (1,829 m).

Since 1990, the area Huangshan was included in world heritage list of UNESCO and it is a national Park of China and one of the most popular tourist destinations in this country.

Often the clouds are below the level of the mountain peaks, that's why some interesting light effects can be observed in this area, such as the Buddha's Light and the Sea of Clouds.

The area has various flora. The Huangshan pine is named after Huangshan and is considered an example of vigor because the trees thrive by growing straight out of the rocks. Many of the pine trees in the area are more than a hundred years old.

It was quite a little "excursion" to a wonderful place of China. Hope everyone'll visit this amazing place and enjoy the atmosphere of freshness and nature.
