My First DSLR

This was the first DSLR i started learning with. It's quite outdated compared with the Sony a7III i use now but that dont mean you can't take great pictures with it. The 400D was an amazing camera to learn with, put it in manual and start adjusting in your exposure. Going from being used to shooting with the 9 auto focus points of the 400D to the 690 AF points of the a7III was insane, but learning to use only 9 was a great experience and you need to be quite exact with your focus point placement.

Using this camera with the Sigma 70-300mm since it uses an APS-C sensor mean that the effective focal range is 105-450mm, and that is a pretty good range for doing portraits, zoomed in landscape and some medium range wildlife. In my 400D i have a 1Gb CF memory card and i actually think this is a benefit to start with, that is enough for just under 100 shots. The benefit of this i that it forces you to make every shot count, you then think more before taking a pictures insted of bursting shots in all directions.

Checking ebay fast i see the Canon 400d selling from everywhere between 50 to 100 usd, now that is a cheap way to get in to photography.

Be sure to check out the sample pictures taken with the camera below.

Nice Camera and it allready paid for itself via steemit.

Thanks sir! Yes it would if i took profit out of steemit, but for me this is all a long term investment. Really exited to see how steemit grows the coming years.

Nice camera, indeed. I also started with a 400D. I've since had mine modified for IR photography and it's still pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing your shots, well done!

Aaah thats cool 👌 Much appreciate the positive feedback!

Pleasure's mine, my friend. looking forward to seeing more of y our imagery.

oh waaw the camera 🎥 and the photos are truly amazing, I love photography so much and all the beauty that the world can give us 😊😊 have a wonderful day, GREETINGS!

Thank you so much😄Yeah the art of photography is truly amazing! Checked out your steemit and the BBQ post hit me straight in the hart, those GIF's were delicious 🙏

Photos look gorgeous! I have always used a Nikon but might switch to a cannon once I get a little better at photography. I posted a few of my shots in my most recent post -- would love your feedback (and support, since I'm new on here!) :)

Thank you @nomadgirl! If you are thinking about changing brand i would absolutely recommend to check out sony's mirrorless cameras. Used the canon 400d for about a year while learning photography but now i use a sony a7III and totally love it 👍You for sure take good pictures, and the locations you are able to visit is truly amazing! Following you since your blog is so unique 😄

I have a Nikon and also looking into a mirrorless Sony. The only "issue" I have with them is the sort of lenses to choose from, there are not so many plus they have a high price tag. Moreover, I'm not a fan of plugin other brands lenses with an adapter.

Any thoughts on that?

right on killer shots. major jelly on the dslr ive always wanted to work with one. still havent got there yet.

Thank you! it's a great learning experience that i absolutely can recommend 👌

Your DSLR camera is also good and the photos you take are also very good.

Really Mate, you have a big talent, I am your big fan, that is why I have followed you. See all your photos. I wonder how anyone can pull so good photos in such a short time.

Wow thanks dude, think that is the nicest compliment i have gotten 😃 There is no secret at all, if you want to be good at something you have to practice that thing every day. learning have never been easier than now these days, you can just go on youtube or web pages like creativelive.com to find material you want to learn. After that it's all based on how hard you work and how many hours you put in to your craft👍

camera and picture quality is very good, hope we find more awesome pictured in future with this cam

Thank you! These days i mostly use my Sony a7III, but i always bring the old canon 400d as backup 😄
