RE: Dictators often hide their ambitions under mantras of "serving the people." #libertarian #taxationistheft #mises #misesinstitute #ancap

Said by an Economist of the Austrian School so it must be true, right?
What else did this luminary say?
Well it would appear that he also was a fan of Facism.

It cannot be denied that Fascism and similar movements aiming at the establishment of dictatorships are full of the best intentions and that their intervention has, for the moment, saved European civilization. The merit that Fascism has thereby won for itself will live on eternally in history.

- Ludwid Von Mises

To be fair to old Ludwig does go on to say that Facism should only be a short term solution and that it was a 'fatal error' in the long run. However, it would appear that he was an admirer of Italian Facism to a certain extent.

Still, there's no mistaking that much of Mises' writing contains eugenecist musings and, if not, outright racist statements.

It is vain to deny that up to now certain races have contributed nothing or very little to the development of civilization and can, in this sense, be called inferior

- Ludwig Von Mises, Human Action, 1949, p 90.

Would make a nice T-shirt, don't you think?
