Welcome to Rest Area Rigaih
Welcome to Rest Area Rigaih maximum speed of 3 km/hour. That is written on a roadside sign between Banda Aceh-Meulaboh at KM 142. Roads built by USAID in Aceh's rehabilitation and reconstruction program after the 2004 earthquake and Tsunami, This highway has a width of 9 meters.
I shot some photos here on a trip across the west and south of Aceh along with @keuudeip, @safar01, and @abelpasai. This trip is sponsored by @mapesa for a scientific study along the shores of the Indian Ocean.
The main target of this study is to detect all the ancient ports that had been made by the Aceh Darussalam Kingdom, to contain Aceh's natural crops, when spices as the world primadonna in the middle ages.
Good job, looking for ancient ports of ancient history, has never been done by other researchers.
Aceh was once known as an inter-state trade area by sea. At that time the sea became the main line of export and import between countries.
Many Acehnese communities sent abroad by sea, would need a port to receive ships and cargo goods.
Interesting research conducted by @keuudeip, @vannour, @safar01, and @abelpasai sponsored @mapesa. We wait for the result, good luck.[]
Awesome post and shots! Shows how mighty and strong nature is, love it, thanks for sharing :) #keepsteemin
