Fireworks!

I tried my hand at fireworks photography and this is one of my very first attempts. At a show in Minnesota, over the capital city of St. Paul, I captured these fireworks from a bridge over the Mississippi River.

I found that 3 seconds is the best speed and obviously a tripod is needed. I was using longer shutter speeds, but it became too cluttered. With 3 seconds, I could hear when the fireworks were launched and then click the shutter and capture the explosion on cue.

Here are two of the best ones that turned out. The second one reminds me of a palm tree. I hope you enjoy them!
