Jusuf Kalla Refused Smoothly

Wiranto Also Refused

However, Wiranto stated firmly that he will focus on completing his duties as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs). Wiranto said he would not form a successful team.

"I will concentrate on my duty here, I will not campaign, baseball will be what makes the name of a successful team," said Wiranto at the office of Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Tuesday 27 February.

Surya Paloh Against Refusing

Following Vice President JK and Wiranto, there is also Chairman of the Central Board of the Democratic National Party (DPD), Surya Paloh, who refuses to advance as vice-president Jokowi. Surya Paloh called that discourse too late.

"If I (advanced as vice president of Jokowi) is late, it should be 20 years ago or 15 years ago," said Surya Paloh in Makassar, quoted by CNN Indonesia on Thursday March 01.

Surya Paloh said that his party did not want to hurry to present the figure of vice president who will accompany Jokowi because everything must be consulted first. He insisted that there should be a harmony between the presidential candidate who was carried with his candidate for deputy or else the government would not run well.

"Yes, of course, should be consulted honestly with President-backed or presidential candidates supported by Nasdem, Jokowi himself," he explained.

"It does not mean that Nasdem nominates if it is less comfortable, less fit, less aligned, there is no harmonization for the course of the government. I think it's a wrong step for what ?," Surya Paloh continued.

In addition, Surya Paloh also revealed about the ideal vice presidents to accompany Jokowi in the 2019 election later .. "Well the criteria is very simple, basic yes, yes smart, have a personality that remains in the corridor of ethical propriety," he concluded.

Interestingly, Surya Paloh did not rule out if later Nasdem again suggested the figure of South Sulawesi to accompany Jokowi, as the 2014 election then, through the figure of JK.
