The Next to Tumble and Fall? DAN SCHNIEDER of Nickelodeon
Ooh, the internets are abuzz with many fingers and side-eyes aimed at Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider and his under-aged proclivities and rumored spawn.
For those who don't know, Dan Schnieder is a producer at the children's network, Nickelodeon. He's behind several hit series, such as iCarly, Zoey 101, Victorious, Sam and Cat, and more. So, he's basically a cash cow when it comes to merchandising rights. As such, he's been protected by Nickelodeon's parent company, Viacom. What they've paid out is a fraction of what he's made for them; that's why he's still working. With kids.
He's rumored to be the father of Jamie Lynn Spear's daughter. The child and Schneider share the same eye shape.
If they did a paternity test and it was proven that Schneider was the father, that'd be a huge nail in his coffin. No doubt a payout was made to keep things hush hush, because it looks really bad when a TV channel designed around children's entertainment has a producer that got a 16 year old pregnant. Just bad optics, all the way around. But it does swirl around the drain called Hollywood; the culture of sexual exploitation for shits and giggles. The casting couch on a much sicker level.
As I said, there's rumors floating about regarding Schneider and comeuppance. For example, over at 4Chan, there's a post by a supposed Vox writer.
Jennete McCurdy did a Vine, pointing at Schnieder a while back.
Combine that with the time Schneider was honored at an awards ceremony and his top stars didn't attend to make a statement...
Also from Crazy Days and Nights, a recent doozy of a blind item from Himmmmmm, targeted at Schneider.
General consensus is that the list of players in this drama is as follows:
The podcast, Revenge of the CIS, goes into Schneider, as well.
The more attention Schnieder gets, the more likely his parent company will have to do something about his actions and prevent him from interacting with under-aged actors, since he obviously is creepy enough to get a bunch of attention to his proclivities. Like his foot fetish. Oh? Didn't hear about that? Many of his shows incorporate feet in ways that normal tweens/teens don't engage in;
Or include scenes that sexualize the under-aged actors.
What do you think? Is it possible that the #MeToo movement will finally address under-age sex abuse by those in powerful positions in Hollywood?
Is Schneider's time finally up?
